Quick Tips for Achieving Wellness

In today's fast-paced world, maintaining a healthy lifestyle can often feel like a daunting task. Between work responsibilities, family commitments, and social engagements, finding the time and energy to prioritize our health and well-being can be a challenge. This is where incremental lifestyle changes can form lasting habits which truly make a difference.

I understand the importance of taking a holistic approach to wellness, we can't zoom in on just one aspect of our lifestyle - our diet for example - and expect everything to be better. We are complex beings but simple changes can give drastic improvements.

When you need that extra support, coaching can help you to achieve your health goals and lead a more balanced and fulfilling life. Whether you are looking to improve your sleep, manage stress, make better food choices or generally feel well again, I'm here to support you every step of the way.


Firstly, here are some of my basic tips for achieving wellness:


  1. Eat Real Food: The best choices are well balanced with high quality proteins, healthy fats (no seed oils), properly prepared grains and legumes, seasonal vegetables and fruits. Avoid ultra-processed foods. Nutrition plays a crucial role in overall health and well-being and is essential for providing your body with the nutrients it needs to function optimally.

  2. Stay Hydrated: Drinking clean water and supporting your body to make it's own exclusion zone water will improve energy and maintain your system's functions. By clean I mean tested spring water or filtered tap water with minerals added back in.

  3. Practice Mindfulness: We don't have to start meditating (but it's great if you do!), simply paying attention to our surroundings, stopping to enjoy the moment, putting down our phones and really noticing the feeling of being present can bring so much back into our daily lives. Think about how a toddler engages with the world, the sense of wonder and joy they get from the simplest things.

  4. Seek Nature: Whether you just head outside for regular breaks throughout the day or you plan epic adventures in the wilderness, getting those signals from the natural outside world will do amazing things for your nervous system and overall sense of wellbeing. We evolved in nature 24/7 but our modern lifestyles bring us indoors far too much, all living things need cues from their natural surroundings to function optimally, humans are no exeption. We are not separate from nature so embrace it!

  5. Set Clear Goals: One of the most helpful steps in any wellness journey is to set clear and achievable goals. Whatever you want to improve upon, having specific goals in mind can help you stay focused and motivated to get there.
